Next sunday, April 13th I'm leading my motorcycle club that I'm in on a ride from Irvine to vegas and back in one day. It's a 600 mile trip. I of course have the smallest bike in the group. Wish me luck. Oh yeah and I'm gonna definnitely keep an eye out on my oil level, top off before the ride and carry a quart of my trusty rotella synthetic with me. I don't want my engine to blow on this trip, Nikux I feel for ya.

My bike is pretty good on the oil consumption. The worst I've seen it was a quart in 2000 miles, usually I only have to top off a half quart in 1500 miles, exactly in between my oil changes.

Sounds like a great trip. I hear ya, I am always on the smallest bike on group rides. But I have found it really doesnt much matter as long as you are having fun. :thumb:

Word. I think it's actually more fun when you gotta work harder to catch up with the 600s and the literbikes. Adds to the challenge :)

just check the oil at each fillup, keep the petcock on prime, it'll be fine. take pictures.

I'm sorry, but that is going to be one long, boring, pointless trip.....

What could be more boring than the Interstate to ride on?
