Where to get CRG Hindsight LS mirrors?

I have a 99 gs500e.  I want to get the fold-in barend mirrors.

Are the CRG hindsight lanesplitting mirrors the only ones?  They are REALLY expensive!

I didn't know where to start looking, so i typed it into ebay.. it's almost $80 for a single mirror.

Anyway, if I do end up getting them, are they pretty easy to install?  Just push the grips in a little bit?  (probably easier said than done.. ? )
and the mirror clamps on to the bar itself... and then the bar ends go back on?  is that about right?

Also, I've read stories on trying to remove the bar ends on our bikes...  that you're not supposed to take the screw out or something?

Thanks for all the info guys!

You mean these?

I have them, installation was extremely easy. I bought mine off a member here, so I only paid $40 each.

Why not just use mtn bike mirrors?

I have them on my mtn bike and I have been quit hard on them and the Ducati floks seem to like them.

I think I'll have to give them a shot.

That ducati thread has convinced me to get some of those bicycle mirrors..  I just can't imagine dropping $70 - $80+ on a single mirror...

I just wanted the lane splitter mirrors, because I store my bike in a back room of my house ... and it's pretty tough getting it through the doorway as it is lol..  I have to turn the handle bars, and pull one end through, then the other, then straighten out, etc..

I've gotten pretty good at it though ;)

The mirrors on my mtn bike fold so you shouldn't have a problem. I am going to put them on my GS in the AM.

I got mine on Ebay.  Also check the Monster forum's classifieds section.

I tried a bicycle mirror a while back and the vibration was too much for me, so I bought the CRG's.  They fold for lane splitting and parking, and I love them - well made, no vibration.

because they aren't safe. i have the ThirdEye mirrors, that look identical to those. They are too low if they're attached directly to the end of the bar. They need 1-2" of elevation above the end of the bar, and 1-3" of outward placement for you to be able to see traffic without turning your head down to look. I'm tall, so it may not be so much for everyone. Just wanted to give another riders' impression.

Spend more, (ok, ebay/craigslist and spend less if you like ;)  ) but make sure you get some elevation on your bar end mirrors, and the bodies are some kinda metal, not plastic. You'll like them better !

here are mine:

Yep. I put mine on and went for a ride as soon as I got up today. I like with the stock mirrors so I can point them at my blind spot, but I wouldn't use them alone.

I like this

but poverty will keep me using stock.  :dunno_white:
