What a wonderful trip! I'd give an engine as offering for such a wonderful experience. Good luck with your repairs.

Great slide show, and stunning photography. I just had a wonderful trip through Arizona, one of my favorite states, thanks so much! What a gift you have for photography, and a fine eye. What camera are you using?  8)

Wonderful photos - you really get a sense for the landscape.

There can't be a better way to explore than on a bike. It's fairly cheap, you decide where and when, brilliant. North America is a beautiful continent.
Mods thus far:

14 tooth front sprocket
Complete paint job, red to black
Oxford heated grips
Fenderectomy
GSXR foot pegs

...much more to come!

Thanks guys for the appreciation - let me come out and say it would not have been possible without you - The confidence I have gained about motorcycles gives me the guts to actually go out not thinking about what will happen.

I really think motorcycling is the best way to see nature. Whats better than nature itself talking to you in howling winds  :thumb:

I have a Canon 30D with a Tamron 17-50 lens. This set almost cost me the same price as my motorcycle. The software on the website is an open source  photo blogging code, http://www.pixelpost.org the slide show is a plugin for that software.

Btw I am almost certain that engine is toast, did not get time to confirm my speculations this weekend, would do it the next weekend.

Great pictures dude....you could sell pieces like those. :thumb:
Well, either you're part of the problem, part of the solution,...
              - ..or you're just part of the landscape. - lndeed.

change to synthetic oil and bring some with you on trips.   a trick with the gs, i have found, is if neutral is getting sticky or hard to find you are beginning to run low on oil.  i have found this true on all 3 of my gs 89 01 and the new one

My bad, I was updating the software. Should be running fine now.

I really enjoyed the pictures and the story about your journey. The SV mirrors and huge pile of stuff on the tail looks familiar to my bike...
