I'm a senior at Claremont McKenna College and I've about had it with with parking restrictions on campus.  I can understand registration fees for cars, but not for bikes.  Heck, I don't ever even take up a space!

For you other college students, how much a year, if anything, do you have to pay in order to park your GS on campus?

Happyness is like peeing you pants.  Everyone can see it but only you can feel its warmth.

Is College like University?

I am in University here in Australia, and its free to park at my current Uni, however, last year I was at a uni where parking was $120 a year, motorbike, car, submarine whatever!!!

Motorbikes should be given a special pass, we dont clog the roads, less polution, chicks love us - we spread good will wherever we go!!!

hey, you guys are movin' up to the BigEast!!!  :thumb:
My alma-mater is moving out of the BigEast....  :(

Anyway, Penn State, parking blows because of one of the absolutely crazy construction around central campus... many parking lots have been cleared for building.  It's only 40 bucks a semester, but students have to park on a remote part of campus about a mile away from the academic buildings.

At my alma mater (Virginia Tech), parking was sweet for bikes.  spaces in lots of convenient places for motorcycles lableled "any university permit"

I can always park the bike for free and really close to my school. (about 20m from the entrance :P) Parking with a car sucks, you can park it for free but you have to walk at least 5 minutes.

I almost never have problems parking the bike anywhere. Just put it on the sidewalk or somewhere else where it's not in the way, and you won't get a ticket.

tigerstyle102

Cal State Northridge

$126/semester for cars
$32/semester for bikes

Car parking is extremely limited, but it's getting better now since they just built a new parking structure. Bike parking is plentiful.

Cars: Pretty much central parking structure far from every thing.  Cost: bend over.  :nana:
