Question about cylinder head

I have an 06 GS500F and I was wondering if a cylinder head from an earlier model will work with the 06?  I have found some 2001 and earlier cylinder heads for sale.  Most of them have the cable driven tachs.

They will fit. You can plug the tach drive. The 04 came plugged.
Common sense in not very common.
