So I just did the dumbest shaZam! ever. I was moving my bike so my girlfriend could back her car out. I was in a hurry to do this and here is what I ended up doing. I had the kick stand down and I was on the left side of the bike. I was in the middle of rolling it when the kick stand dug into my toe. I was wearing sandals. It hurt like a !@#$%. I thought I had merely stubbed it. When I looked down I saw the damage.  :mad:Pics to follow.

Moral of the story: Wear your gear all the time EVERYTHING you do. Never take it off, shower with it on.

Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

Allright, no more flip flops! SQUID!!!   ;)

At least he wasn't actually riding the bike, that coulda been real bad. That's a quick way to learn not to even go near a bike with sandals on.

That's not too bad. I recently dropped a 35lb barbell plate on my big toe from about 5 feet in gym. Yours looks pretty compared to what I had to deal with for 2 weeks.

Man, I just ate dinner, almost urped on my keyboard, but I actually have a pretty strong stomach, I'm just a little under the weather last couple days. So, think you are always gonna have a square toe there now?

Could always be so much worse, like the guy who had the boulder roll on his arm in one of those skinny canyons in Utah, and had to hack it off with a dull knife!  :icon_razz:

Yeah, no flip flops ever.

I dropped some heavy pruning shears once, landed point down on my big toe, made a really deep hole, then I was lifting a litre bottle of Amaretto by the lid (dumb, but it was in an awkward place to reach) and the plastic top I had it by wasn't molded, but just glued onto the cap part, and it let go, and that was about 5 pounds on my toe from 3 feet up. I hobbled for a couple weeks. Nothing like a barbell plate, man, that's nasty to even think about.  :o

Bout equal to how my foot an ankle looked no blood but twice it's normal size, black and blue by the time I got up and pulled up my pant leg. I agree always have the moto gear on. I think we soo underestimate protecting our feet and ankles. We wear our helmet and jacket but how many actually wear a good pair of boots?

I do hehe My mates poke fun at me cause I always wear all my gear, even for a short trip. But for me it is like being in a car without a seatbelt on, it just feels wrong.

That does look painful though! Hope it clears up quickly!

I've driven 'naked' maybe 5 times in the last 10 years. It really does feel weird to not have a seatbelt on. Dumb actually :)

I've been getting by with some steel toe work boots for a while now, think I'll treat myself to some leathers and boots for christmas, and buy the wife a nice Rebel for christmas. ;) you know, gotta get her something I can enjoy too ;)

heal those toes up ! looks like a blender gottem !

Dude,

I noticed your UCF shirt and realized you're in the O-town area. Once we are both healed we should meet up and go riding sometimes! I'm in the Kissimmee area near the Loop to be exact how 'bout you?

Why do you need to heal?

Not really familiar with the Kissimmee area but I looked it up goog maps. Doesn't seem to far away. I've never ridden with anyone before I don't trust other people to be as safe as me, but sure I'm up for my first ride.

Toogoofy317

On Good Friday I dropped my moto on my ankle/foot the one day I was in a hurry so left the boots at home. I'm supposed to get a CT scan this week my ortho thinks I may have a hairline fracture and I can't have an MRI. If it's not better in two weeks he may have to do surgery  .

To get to the area where I live you can take I-4 to osceola parkway. Or just hit John Young toward Kissimmee. I'm easy to find how bout you?

I've ridden with my best friend who has a honda shadow. I've been riding since August and I'm a pretty safe driver It's while I'm stopped that I'm dangerous ( I.e. how I hurt my ankle) ;)

Hey if you want I'll PM you my cell and maybe do a ride sometimes. Or we could meet one night at Old Town on Thursday night they do bike night. It would be cool to have a couple of Gs's there so far mine is the only one I have seen.

woah. I never would have thought. Just imagine how bad wrecking your bike with flip-flops on would be. Ouch. So, tell us, what expletives did you use?
