well going by the poll in o&e and adding up all my time it will be $60 shipped and it will be unfinished (ie you will have to paint and put on the trim after painting.) if you want it to match your bike you may need professional finishing but i will send instructions with it.

My bike is black so I'd have to get black. I wonder if you could even tell it's on there. Oh wait, these are for f's, never mind.

Note to say these cowls are top notch in my opinion.

Mine has arrived safe and sound and as soon as it's sprayed, it's going on the bike and will be posted up for all to see.

Great work, fits like a glove, is the perfect size for my F (not lose, perfect fit) and Im sure when painted, it'll look great.

Infinitely better design than any other cowl I ever seen for a GS500F....for sure, no question.  :thumb:

Balu Racing makes one:

Also, CowlTech makes one... but I won't provide a link... They have a pretty bad rep, and you would be wise to steer clear.  I only mention them in case you come across them in your search, to look the other way.

Cowltech took ages to ship and not that great and over priced.

I had the Balu Racing for E and F. Nice items. Ended not using them and they are now enjoying the sun and fun in Australia on other members' bikes.

ok thanks for the links and for the warning - is it worth making it on my own? I never worked with fiberglass but i watched few vids and it didnt look to complicated

You could very easily make your own with fiber glass. Its a simple process. Just make a mold of the cowl you want, or even do it directly on the seat with wax paper covering everything you dont want the resin on, and then apply the matting and resin and vuala, your done! After a few more coats of each and some grinding and modifications of course.
I am into buying bikes that people have given up on and fixing them up!

RIP Patrick Lajko, I miss you man.
