okay, my father is a cigar afficianado. i've picked it up sparingly. i enjoy a nice cigar on occassion. i also like to have a good drink on occassion as well. (someting other than beer.) now, i've been told that you can mix the two and quite well at that. the trick is finding the right combination. now, i've not got tons of money so i can't really afford to just go to the liqour store and buy a pint of every whiskey, scotch, bourbon and brandy they've got and try em with my cigars. the cigars i order are from Thompson Cigar Company. My father swears by Thompson's. i don't spend a lot, i generally use their "house brand." (the cheaper ones, but still a good smoke.) my father sadly doesn't enjoy any liqour so he can't help me figure this out. anyone else enjoy a nice smoke and drink and can help me out?

Thompson has a candella wrapper cigar the iguana, excellent value for an inexpensive cigar. I was smoking the Iguana Mama's in the Candella very smooth little cigar it's a 5" x42.

Alright damn I was gonna get you a link for them and it looks like they moved the iguana's to outlet. No more iguana's. I recently quit smoking, I haven't had to buy cigars in over a year with all the cigars I had on hand . Any way those were my daily smokers when I was buying them they were around 85cents a stick when I bought em.

Damn their prices have gone up like everything elses the emprasario corona's with the conneticut wrapper on the bottom of this page.

Used to be a really damn good deal on a daily smoke, used to get 3 bundles for $30 a few years ago at that price it was great for a daily smoke.

If your looking for fine cigars you should look elsewhere, the prices on thompsons premiums really arent all that good, I can go to a local shop and not pay much more and hand pick what I want. Well I could I don't know what prices are like anymore.
Why didn't you just go the whole way and buy me a f@#king Kawasaki you bastards.

Ackkkkkk

Wellers 107 the special reserve stuff not muchmore price wise but better flavor for rocks.

You like scotch, You don't have to get really expensive to enjoy single malt's but it'll cost you more thab johnny walker.

I enjoy Glenlivet or Glenfiddich, I used to drink Oban but had a hard time finding it for a long time, I have 1/2 a bottle of 14yr old Oban in the cabinet that I bought 15years ago.

glenlivet and glenfiddich are budget single malts. You oughta see the expensive blends like usqabach or 21 royal salute.

i get cohibas when i can whether there the ones you get in the states or get from overseas i think the short ones are the best not to long not to short. with a small glass of single malt fiddiche scotch its kinda pricey but i feel its worth it. and the scotch usually comes in a cardboard tube and the bottles green and triangular in shape.

Royal Salute 21 (or is it 12 - been so looooooong I forgot ) is freaking awesome ... Its freaking impossible to get in the US ... or atleast I have given up trying.
I also like blue label Johhy walker's. but at that $$ its no bloody way worth the $$, black label is faaaaaar better in terms of value.
Now I dont smoke, so your cigar question is over my head.
Cool.

Yea 120 bucks for the small bottle and yea its 21 ... right.
BTW I like crown royal for the budget priced whisky ... however its not real scotch anything ... canadian whisky (which is like 87 octane) and flavors (which is like caramel syrup) ... bleeh ... but tastes OK.
Cool.
