I would like it noted that although DC was only #7 on the list, it will ALWAYS be #1 in my heart!   :2guns:  DC TRAFFIC

I can attest to most of those cities, but in particular Atlanta. I was driving with my dad from Florida to Tennessee and we were caught in a traffic jam at around midnight, so he let me take over while he grabbed a *quick* nap. Well 7 hours later he wakes up and I'm driving us through downtown Atlanta rush hour. No big deal you may say, but here's what I was driving.

Oh and on top of that, I'd never towed a trailer before...

Dude, not a chance would I be letting you drive my 100k boat around atlanta during rush hour!!!  No offense!

 i been through atlanta a few times. not really that great. of course i had the luxury of doing it in a 1967 Plymouth Fury III. she kept up ahead of traffic quite nicely. had to be careful though. f%$king people would get to staring as i went by and almost drive into me. morons.  :cookoo: nashville sucked really bad though. trying to keep from getting ass rammed by 18 wheelers while doing 95 in a 55......not cool. K.C isn't that fun at 6-7am either. neither is denver. made the mistake of trying to get off the interstate in denver during rush hour to get gas. bad idea.
finally a homeowner!

Oh yea nashville and most other cities in the West TN, eastern AR area are just filled with 18 wheelers and either its 95 in a 55 with broken concrete roads, or its 10 in a 55 cos the 18 wheelers have braked and cannot get up speed. Un proportionately high traffic, I blame walmart though.
The Atlanta thing is bad, so is DC but nothing IMHO compares to CA, LA or SFO. NYC can be bad, but the subway is a must there, and another city with more stupid traffic than its population suggests, Toronto. Houston can be bad if you dont car pool and houston has people picking up people in the bus stops just so they can ride in the carpool lane. I liked that a lot.
Cool.

Oh yea detroit is pitiful, as is atlanta and they definetly got 1 thing absolutely right ... SFO traffic is absolutely bottleneck driven. Its a lane splitters paradise. Its 90 mph for 3-4 miles, 1 mile of lane splitting ... repeat. it may be the only city in the world where difference in commute times between car and bike will be 2 hours over a 40 mile distance.
I am however surprised to not see chicago, most of NJ including Philly etc etc ...

Now I know why my bp skyrockets and my heart acts up having to drive through Orlando. Sad part though it is only about a five mile stretch but it takes you five hours to get through it. It only backs up real bad from Conroy to Ivanhoe. Then from just past Lee rd for about ten miles. But, the 408 makes it all terrible. That exit is what kills I-4 traffic. Also, the shoddy construction sucks now too. I'm terrified to ride the bike through there 'cause it has so many deep pot holes and uneven pavement.

Okay yeah Orlando sucks. Esp when you add half of the people don't live here and are gawking and not paying attention! So, I do see #3 as a good spot! Boston seemed nasty to me as well!

Atlanta ? Really ? Been through there a dozen times, no big deal unless bumper-to-bumper lane changes @ 90 MPH get your back up ;)

Ya, A-town is full of idiot drivers. :)

Yeah, that what got me. It wasn't bumper to bumper, it was about 80-90mph average and cars wizzing by passing on both sides. And of course the road wasn't straight, long sweeping curves.

I was in Atlanta on business in Nov 2001, flew in and hopped on the hotel shuttle headed out to peachtree, wow it took over 2 hours to get across atlanta in 5pm rush hour traffic.

I was in the gym working out the next morning at 4:30 and the television in front of the treadmills was tuned to local news, damn at that time of day local news was already out reporting on slow downs and showing pictures of different highways with bumper to bumper traffic.
Why didn't you just go the whole way and buy me a f@#king Kawasaki you bastards.

If I recall, it was 75 to 40 to 81. We took 75 till we hit Knoxville then headed up 40 and it turned in to 81?

I've not been that far from Home but I got to say Greensboro NC Has got to be the worst town I've been in as far as Traffic. Not just because of Traffic but the way the Roads in the town is set up.There's Enough damn Wasted Space between the 6 lane to feed a Damn big Herd of Cattle.I'd really hate to see the rest of the State towards the Coast.
