Wanted *cheap* tach for 04+ models. Aftermarket tachs would do to.

I just bought a Trail Tech Vapor gauge set so I won't need my stock gauges, besides the PO tried to wire in an electric tach into the 1990 that didn't run!

I'll sell it to you  but I want to state that I've never physically seen the bike run so can not verify that the tach worked.

Thanks,

Nick

You can use a 88-97 Kat tach. I use them on my track bikes.

Here are a couple of them:

Do they wire in like a typical aftermarket tach?  What do you use to cover the hole in the head where the cable went?

Wires in the same. You can leave it as is or plug it. I have taken apart drives to plug them with a bolt and silicone or another option is to use the plug from an 04.
Common sense in not very common.
