It seems to be running okay.  Idle issues seem to be solved.  Now I'm just not 100% sure it's running straight.  Even after replacing the old tires, it seems as if when I lean into a left hand turn and reach a certain lean angle it seems to want to lean further.  It's not as pronounced with fresh rubber, and perhaps it's even all in my head after my initial impressions--which were comfirmed by second rider.  Regardless, it's not as if it seems hard to control.  I just find myself making minor adjustments going into left handers.  ALSO, the petcock seems to either be dysfunctional or perhaps it's position indicator is off by 90 degrees.  Caught up with the excitement of taking it for a ride, I neglected to make sure of what position it was in until sometime down the road.  Not wanting to risk running it dry already on reserve, I pulled over to check it, and it didn't seem as if things lined up like they should.  I haven't had a whole lot of time to mess with it.  Anyway, here it is!  It was a great day for a ride!

...I keep forgetting to pull off that WV inspection sticker!

PS--There are a few blemishes, but the bike is definitely sitting in such a way as I could get it's better side! :icon_mrgreen:

Wow!  :o :o That looks gorgeous. You caught the GS at a great angle. I love those charcoal wheels. Soooo much cooler than the early 90s white rims (hmm ... mine never seem to be white anyway). I like the look of the windscreen. Almost cafe style. Cool.

I especially like the cockpit spoiler and the mirrors, amongst the most beautiful I've ever seen.

UBS, is that the F-16 sport windscreen you got there?  Big difference vs nothing?  I don't want anything too huge, but wanna make sure its worth it (big enough).  Size matters!   :icon_mrgreen:

I do believe it is an F-16.  I'm not sure if there's any special model designation.  It was on the bike when I bought it used.  I've been up to highway speeds, and I don't notice the gusts to be too bad.  Granted, i am 250ish, and that might make a LITTLE difference.

I actually only let it sit there for just a couple of minutes.  Trying to have a more up-beat background for my GS than the garage or worse yet, the cemetery BEHIND the pine tree.  ;)

Bike looks great!  But it does appear as though the petcock lever is not aligned at all with the proper positions.  It shouldn't be pointing at the frame.  You may have to get down on one knee to see the PRI, RES, ON stamped on the chrome plate surronding the lever.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!  And, Welcome!
