Ran across a really nice bmw. I'm not familiar with the models, but here are the pictures that do it no justice. The bike was so clean and proper, it must be a blast.

Its an R75/5 750 opposed twin boxer.

I totaled out a R50/5 550 when I had my wreck.

Why didn't you just go the whole way and buy me a f@#king Kawasaki you bastards.

I was riding down one of those wannabe ritzy strip malls, and the back alleys are always twisty. You know, it helps when the noise off the alley walls is just FANTASTIC.. and there was this little beauty. I rode by and thought "Nice little Beemer" and then thought "I might not see another one in person for a few years, if ever" and turned around.

There was a CCTV camera focused on that particular spot from above, so I hung out a few minutes. Kinda hoped the owner would step out and say hi or get lost or whatever. Nope :(

I only had my camera phone to use, but this Saturday I'm riding by there again. I'll take the nice camera and hope its a "Saturday Morning" bike. :)

I lub the older machines.

I wondered about that when I was standing next to it. Since I know nothing about BMW's, figured I'd leave it up to the experts here :)

Its a shame the engine guard looks so silly on a boxer though

Nice machine. For true. Gotta love'm.

Let me ask a question. The F650 Model...........and the 650 they now use for the "Dakkar" type......I have been led to believe that it was a joint effort between Rotax (the engine), Aprilla, and BMW all together that created this machine. Is that so? Is it a "worthy" BMW? It made me sick at the stomach that the R55/65/75's went away. I think they now make an 1150 Boxer that is very interesting.

Anyway................an info is appreciated.........

a few years back, i had an old school bmw, with around 279k ( milkes) when i got her. nothing but oil changes btw. now, my aunt still has her, and almost 380k later, ( total) after a new clutch, she purrs. a bit difficult to start sometimes, but hell for almost 400k milkes, anything wouldnt start too easy. my second highest mileage biek ever was an 82 HD lowrider. had 174k on it. ran like a champ :thumb:

i like BMW's, bikes and cars both. but sadly their bikes seem to cater to taller folk and their cars seem to cater to richer folk.
