Well, I went this past weekend to thegsresources.com Brown County Rally.  I met up with about 30 - 35 other GS riders of all varieties.  There were GS cruisers, standards, and sporty bikes, as well as other random bikes like GSXRs, a Honda Interceptor, a ZZR1200, etc.  It was a GREAT time, and I encourage any and all to attend next year.  You wouldn't believe some of the roads we have in beautiful southern Indiana.

I put about 400 miles on my bike in two days (and I live local).  I got many kudos, both on my bike and my riding.  I had the zzr1200 on my tail all day Saturday, and he said that I "was screaming through the corners on that little 500".  He said I was a blast to watch, and he couldn't believe I was leaving him in all the twisties (he caught me with NO effort on the exits though).

It was a BLAST.  The people were great, and I was grinning from ear to ear all weekend.  Just thought I'd share my experience.  For those of you going to Deals Gap this summer, we should have a fantastic time.  Two weeks to go...   :thumb:  :icon_mrgreen:

anywhere near brown county state park?

Precisely.  They all stayed in a motel in Columbus about 15 miles away.  I camped in BC state park.

A sample of the roads we hit:

State road 45 from Bloomington to Bean Blossom

Where we ate breakfast Saturday morning.  Don't let the facade fool you...the food was fantastic!

Some of the bikes before the main ride departure...I'm on the far left all geared up

Some of the bikes parked outside the motel...I'm not there yet.

My bike, of course

A view from in the park

The West Baden Hotel...we stopped to check this place out.

Inside the West Baden Hotel dome...Pictures do not begin to describe the grandure of this hotel!

where is this at ???

Brown county is about 35 - 40 minutes south of Indianapolis.  If you know Indiana at all, it is due east from Bloomington, home of the Indiana University Hoosiers, on State Road 46.

Roads we hit were:  State Roads 135, 37, 58, 450, 150, 46, 446, 45, etc.

You can see a map with most of the roads we hit marked here.
