This is why I always try NewEnough.com first!

Most everyone has heard of NewEnough.com, and probably a good number of us have bought stuff from them.  My latest purchase experience from them is an excellent example of why I always check them out first when I am in the market for new gear.

About 10 days ago I ordered a Joe Rocket Phoenix 4.0 Mesh jacket ($89...sweet) and a pair of Joe Rocket UFO gloves ($14.99...freakin' sweet).  The jacket fit as expected, but the gloves were too tight.  No prob...got a return authorization and dropped them in the mail back to them.  As of today, my account has been credited with a gift certificate (as I requested) for the purchase price...plus they throw in an extra 10%.

So this morning I place the order for the gloves in the next size up.  At checkout I notice that ground shipping on my $15 gloves is going to be almost $7.  I select USPS Priority Mial instead, but it is still about $5.50.  It only cost me about $2.50 in postage when I sent the original gloves back.  So I pick up the phone and call customer service to see if I can catch a slight break on the shipping cost...never hurts to ask!  :thumb:

One of the best things about NewEnough...besides the prices...is that a real person will answer the phone on the second ring, and they are always super-friendly.  After explaining the situation to the guy, HE DECIDES that the company should just pick up the cost of the shipping since it is such a small item...plus the fact that they are in West Texas and I am just up in Oklahoma City.  I try several times to get him to at least take the extra 10% they sent me to help cover the shipping and call it even, but he politely refused each and every time.  THAT, my friends, is good Customer Service.   :bowdown:

It may seem like a small thing, but it rates BIG in my book.  Just wanted to pass along the info in hopes that maybe it generates them a little more business.

Cool.  :thumb:

They have always done me right on the 3 leather suits, 2 jackets, countless gloves and several helmets I have bought from them over the years.

Common sense in not very common.

I agree, their prices are hard to beat and customer service is superb.

It's customer service like that, which so many places are lacking today. Really hits you and leaves a lasting impression when you are treated so well. I bet they have a customer for life, and it only cost them $7.

Impressive. The "Customer is always right" makes good business sense, even when it doesn't seem to make sense.

Just purchased a new bucket, pants and boots today.  Price was great and it was nice they don't gouge you when shipping to Canada.  I've read many good things about them (mainly from this forum).  Looking forward to my new gear!

nice tip!

ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THINGS:

I would be very very cautious about buying anything from Ridegear.com.

1) They do not carry in-stock and you may wait weeks or even months.
2) They have unreachable customer service and extreme wait times for everything (crediting your card back, re-ordering items, answering the phone, which you are lucky if they do even after a long wait... most likely you will be hung up on by the system)

unbelievable in this day and age. after talking to a couple of their customer service people it seems they only have a few people working there. they try to help, but can't or just don't carry through.

RIDEGEAR = BAD
