After 16 years in storage my 1990 GS is finnally back on the road.  Thanks to all of you folks here at this site.   Using the "how to's" made this a snap.  I even rebuilt the carbs in less than 2 hours and they work like a charm.  She has all of her old zip back.  New shoes, new chain, new brake pads, grips, speedo, valves adjusted, and just about everything listed in the how to's has been done to her.

Once again.  Super kudos to all of the great folks here at gs.twin.  I am going to have to sell her now but someone is going to be getting a great bike.  As soon as Little Rock get the clear title to me I will post her here first.  Thanks again      Zeb

You stored it for 16 years, only to sell it when gas prices go through the roof?! 

Just kidding... I'm glad you were able to get her running top notch! Very nice looking bike.

   That is a good question.  Being crushed by heavy equipment 16 years ago and then fighting cancer for the last 11 has left me unable to ride for more than 30 minutes or so.  I really hate selling her, but I would much rather know that she is being ridden and enjoyed by somone, than to leave her sitting in my shop for another 16 years.
Besides it was worth the last 6 weeks of wrenching and all the new parts just to ride her yesterday for 30 minutes.

Wow. YOu've taken more than your share of knocks, enjoy some leans man. Suppose you could tell more if ya like. Prolly a good story there.

i know first hand what cancer does.  my little gs was part of my rehabilitation...it got me out of the house, a reason to go out, something to do and my love of motorcycles has returned that love by helping me recover.  i hope you are now well and that all this is in the past and your future is long and healthy
