Are windshields worth the money? Starting to commute in to work now, mostly interstate. The wind is really kicking my butt. Will I notice a significant difference with a windshield.

I going to be ordering a zero-gravity sport touring screen from zgoutlet.com pretty soon.  had one on my SV650S and really liked it.

I have my Targa fairing adjusted so the wind hits the top of my helmet. If I get caught in the rain, and need to clear my shield, I just stick my head up and the wind blows rain and bugs away.So yea big improvement.

Wouldn't leave home without one, a big Plexi 2 for winter and a smaller Spitfire for summer.  My Spitfire puts the wind line about neck high for more wind in the face, full face that is.

407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.

Good questions.  I've been playing with that one for a little while too.

ya man - all the wind off your chest and 'clean' air for your helmet = comfort

I commuted last year sans fairing, 40 miles each way mostly on the interstate (75-80mph).  I have a targa 1/4 fairing, but prefer the naked look.  The commute was kicking my butt too last year, especially in neck pain, so I put my fairing back on for this season.  So far, the commute has been much, much easier.  The wind is deflected to around my neck and I just make a concious effort to make sure my head/neck are comfortable and not getting strained

what kind should I be looking for on a 94 GS500e. Did a quick search, most of what I see are for the faired models.

I use a National Cycle Plexifairing 2 on my 02 GS for winter and son JP uses the same kind on the 97 GS for winter.  I use a Slipstreamer Spitfire summers and JP uses a NC F-15 or F-16 summers, I forget which one he has.

You can see all the NC screens and fairings that fit the 90-02 GS500 here:

http://shop.nationalcycle.com/perl/cycle/nresults2.html?search_model=su-022

I've bought the NC fairings from Chaparral and MAW and I get the Spitfire from Shadetree, a local outfit.

I'm sure others will join in with their favorites.

When crusing the websites look at some of the universal fit windshields and fly screens.I've heard a lot of good things about the F-16 windscreens.

Buell XB is the only one I know of that would go with the dual headlights.

I just picked up a set of Angel Eyes and as an afterthought was thinking about a fairing.  Maybe can make it fit somehow.

Thanks.
