Ok so I just finished doing a full fluid change on a 1995 CB1000...that had been sitting for a few years.  Usually when a customer calls me and tells me they have a bike that's sat up for a few years they typically mean under the tree in the front yard.  This baby is pristine.  I just rode her around the block a few times and holy crap I miss that kind of power.  My little CX is gonna feel like crap tomorrow...

damn straight it's a sweet bike!  Kicker is the guy, after he gets the tags and title transfered, plus the work I've done for him, he'll have got it for just under $2000.  The original owner of the bike tried to sell it two or three years ago for $1800 and no one would touch it.  Had I seen it then I'd have bought it.  My new marriage would have been rather brief if I found it now for that much.

What a steal, I would have snatched that up in heartbeat.

yea the early CB series are great bikes.  The bloke I lived with had a CB900 and that thing could get up and boogy at only half throttle.

This wasn't of the old CB lines.  This is the detuned variant of the CBR1000 in the mid 90's.

I am looking for an old (early 80's) CB900 or something akin to it, though.

CB900 fun :thumb:

I always wanted to ride one of them, thought the dual range gearbox was quite interesting.
Why didn't you just go the whole way and buy me a f@#king Kawasaki you bastards.

i used to have a 81 cb900 and liked the  bike...it was the only non sport bike i have ever owned.  i only had it for a season before i bought a 900 ninja but i enjoyed the time i did have with it.
