I should have elaborated.  I believe that if the government is going to hold persons under 21 to a different accountability level they need to do the same with elderly persons.  In Georgia, a person under 21 automatically faces a 6 month suspension of their license for any single stop resulting in 3 or more reported points on their license, while some 76 year old lady can plow through a f%$king stop light putting a half dozen people in the hospital and drive away from the incident.  It's bullshit, it doesn't even affect me anymore and it's f%$king bullshit and it needs to be changed.  I think there should be an age where yearly on-road drivers tests are administered along with quarterly vision checks.

as muchas i agree with this.... Willl you be singing the same tune in 40 years???   or will you be mad that yuo have to go for your vision and driving test next week when you already did it six months ago.

The bike is at a holding yard and I have not been down to look at it.

Good news.  The Old lady contacted me today and I got her insurance details and started the ball rolling.  The insurance people will be out on Tuesday to look at the bike (shaZam! I hope it is a write off).

Have to drop into a bike shop and get a written quote for how much a new helmet and boots will cost then take that to her insurance company to cough up the cash.  Needed a new helmet as well LOL.

Still being hassled by the wife and close friends to give bikes away............Just can't see myself as a full time cager.  Funny thing is my best mate is a bike rider as well and even he is urging me to give 2 wheels away.

My dad was almost killed when i was 2 , by a drunk driver hitting him , he was declared Dead at the scene , but came back and went on to make a full recovery , just broke his arm and leg , my Girlfriends uncle was killed on a motorbike , i also lost 2 friends on motorbikes , does that put me off? no it doesnt because i love to ride ,. accidents happen
