So last week I adjusted my float heights and they are now perfect. I also adjusted my mixture screws 1/4 - 1/2 turn out because I was running lean. I went for a 20 mile ride and pulled my plugs again and they are still white. Should I keep going out with the mixture screw until my plugs stop showing a lean condition? I'm running a K&N lunchbox, 140 mains, and 40 pilots. When I rebuilt my carbs just a few weeks ago, I started with 2.5 turns out.

I just want to make sure there isn't something else I should be doing, besides turning out the adjuster screw.

Did you add the required washers to the needles?

I added one washer to each needle.

Say I put 3 in. If that makes it too rich with my 3 (roughly) turns out, I should be able to turn the screw back in to even it out right? I've pulled my tank off a lot lately and don't feel like doing it any more than I have to.

Yea 140 mains and K&N lunch box ... You want me to tell you or you want to work it the werase way ...
OK since I am stupid, I'll tell you ...
If you have stock pipe ... it will run lean as sheite till you get to 145 or so.
If you have a free flowing pipe, it will run lean till 150 or so.
The only reason Dynojet can use 134 is because they have skinny needles ... Imagine there is a huge pipe flowing fuel ... like lets say the alaska pipe line. You throw in Queen latifah in it ... will it flow as much as it did before ... That queen latifah is your stock needle ... now in the same pipe ... throw in Paris Hilton ... OK now will it flow as much or more than when queen latifah was stuck in the pipe ... that skinny Paris Hilton is DJ needle ...
Now you got Queen Latifah needle ... to flow more, you need a big ass pipe ... so get a larger jet. Sheesh ... we have FAQ just so people wont go do stupid sheite ...
Anyway, I'd go to 145 or 150 depending ...
