Lots of us have considered alternative engines for the GS.Most consider the Kawasaki Ninjette 500,Suzuki GR650 Temptor,Suzuki SV,Honda CRF450,CR500.The inline 4 cylinders are out.They're just to wide.While searching for info on another bike I liked.I found that the CR500 puts down 50hp and the CRF450 puts down 55.Then I found this conversion.Can you say 210 hp 1000cc GS500CR.

Looks like I have a powerful option for project Lite Wait.If I do It,I'll save enough weight to toss on a USD front from a TLR or GSXR.

I've got one thats been for sale around me for a long time. The guy doesn't even have a price on it, he's willing to trade. He claims if its not gone by next weekend, he's gonna throw it up on ebay. I wonder if he'd be willing to trade for an xr200...

Say to them to do it , that the bike will wear loads and loads of There companys logos and decals , u provide the engine and the gs , and just mention , how many people will ask how that Gs500 Ripped a r1? just say ur a walking advertisement etc ,

Damn, worth a shot. I'd be willing to shell out a few hundo for some more power.

I love the naked look ,. handling etc , but if it had a 1000cc in it , with T LR  F/E , bandit 1200 SA ... Beast!

I would keep it forever if I was running that set up.

I'd love to see a V4 GS500...

keep us all informed on the price once you do contact them..  I think its everyones wet dream here to make the gs a 1000...

I've got a whole extra frame,  I wanna have one of these badasses.   that'd be hysterical to pretty much have better power to weight ratio and more overall hp than a busa.

they cost a fortune, and the word in the bandit community is they dont hold up like other custom bandit motors

so this is just a mod for the stock engine?

if so, my thoughts would be: would the redline be brought down even further because of bigger heavier pistons?

and also, to get any higher top speed, would you be able to gear the bike high enough to take full advantage of that engine?

Its for a Cr500 Two Smoke.. but it fits in the Gs frame , and theyve made it 1000cc ,

dumb question.. you did mean two stroke right? that turns me off to it
