Bogs then shuts off

Ok heres my story for tonight

i get on my bike drive it on the on ramp to get on the highway then the motorcycle bogs and dies.

(i found out what the problem to this is.  i was just low on gas a;ldfkja;ldsfk)

BUT heres another one.

i'm driving on the highway around 75 -80mph for about 10 miles

then it starts being jerky like so i let go of the throttle and apply the throttle againa nd it bogs then i let go of the throttle and apply it again then it dies

kind of scary when ur half way through the round exit ramps :-(

any advice waht this is.

Sounds Like Fuel Starvation .... Bogs , because its not flowing enough to keep the Fuel and air Combusting ..

Or like people have said , The tank can look 1/4 full and be useless ... Need Gas?

yeah i know the tank was full cuz i went to fill it up the first time it died on me

this 2nd time is weird

You also should have your carbs venting right, the T fitting on the top rear of the carbs should not have stuff clogging it.

Dudes having same sort of Problems, 

The stock petcock can sometimes simply not keep to 80 Mphs consistant flow .. seems that way , I run mine on Prime when i Ride it , and i have never had a problem
You said u did a constant 80 mph for 10 miles..  then it started to bog down .. id say vaccuum Problem ..

Yup sounds identical to my problem.  I bought a new petcock today, will be here Wednesday Ill update my thread then.

I have the same problem on my DNA if i goes to 1/6 tank bogs and cant run properly, because theres no Vaccuum, fill her back up , and she works sweet as a button

Sounds like a bad vacuum petcock and possibly the tank vent.The tank vent is in the tank cap.I did a write up on that.

My petcock couldn't keep up on PRIme and would cut out and bog.Didn't work at all in the ON position.That's why I did the no vacuum mod(link above).
