Not quite as much power but I have a good feeling about it. I finally caved to the urge and bought a Specialized Rockhopper Comp FSR.   Its in pretty good shape and everything works perfectly. I saw it while browsing CL and went to take a firsthand look. The guy aired up the tires and pointed me to a trail. That sealed the deal. Its a pretty nice setup and pretty light for a full suspension. I'll take some pics later tonight.

"Not quite as much power" is a bit of an understatement...with you at the pedals.  :flipoff:

You spent all that money and you have to PEDAL the damned thing?

You're a fool!
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

Sorry, lighting in my garage sucks.

No discs, though it is ready for em.

Great pick!!  My cousin had one of those and it was a brute of a bike.  What'd that set ya back??
GS500E with a bunch of cool stuff!

300.  I rode it around a little and it seems like it's going to be pretty fun.  I need to do a little adjusting on it, but nothing major.

Think of the Duc parts you could have bought!   :flipoff: :nono:

You mean like the lightened flywheel,  ooooh or maybe I coulda found a 13.5:1 piston for about that but that still leaves me needing the other one and all the associated machining.   Ooooh or maybe I coulda bought a 6 speed tranny, but then I'd have spent 15 hours or so modifying it to fit. :icon_rolleyes:

sweet ride ! i am still a hard-tail dude. gimmie a couple more years and i'll switch to full suspension ;)

i have a beater gt zaskar with xt crap on it, rhino lite wheels, ringle hubs, crap xt v-brakes, but nice chris king bearings all around.

the road bike... different story: trek 5900, all OCLV frame, oclv seatpost, super light bontrager wheelset, nice ultegra shimano bits all around. very very nice upgrade from my 80's era steel trek 960 (or was it 690 ? I don't remember now)

i'm spoiled, fat, and don't deserve to breath having those bikes and not riding them... gimmie time, we're moving to within a fart of Oak Mountain , Birmingham, and I'll be a member of BUMP (b'ham urban n mountain pedalers) before ya know it ;)

Rock on two wheelers !

I'm thinking I'll get back into Road riding at some point once I get back into riding shape  it's been a while.  I would really like an old school merckx steel frame with top end Campy Record and the Shamal wheels...................or maybe the Bianchi/Ducati carbon frame/fork with that component group.

It's great you're riding your self of that bike to make room for a GS.
