OK I was yakkking carb, carb, carb few years ago ...
See I bought a GS in 1995, and almost immediately had it rejetted, and had lindemann work the FE and swapped the rear shock for what I believe was an RF900 or a sligshot GSXR shock. I should have split that FE open and figured out what it was like in there.
Anyway I promptly started yakking rear shock, katana, RF, GSXR ... on the old mailing list.
It was soon followed by carb, carb, carb ... That was all in 98/99, I really nailed the 40 pilots thing when I went to canada and found out 40's were easy to get there, and were stock on canadian bikes.
However till I sold my GS in 05 I never realised how its FE was, cos mine was well behaved.
In 05, I sold it, and went GS less for the most part till now. However seeing the couple people I know around here that are complaining ... I now go, Ooooo these Kat FE clowns (werase, dgyver, others) are onto something.
Yea, I know, no one cares ... OK.

Suspension is sooo important! , i agree whole totally ,  I remember my stock F/e and shock , Bottomed out, and sunk around 3 inches when i sat on it ,

Now with Katana F/e Progressives and a Hagon rear , the bike handles like a dream come true .. Spot on

i'd love to try a kat FE someday. right now i have no time while i'm running around buying crap everywhere.

It makes such a Difference , instead of that wobble on the lean , or that Bottom out , because a cat come out of the road at 10 mph , u get soildness into corners , and little to none bottoming out

Jay dude - did the kat FE need progressives ?
Anyway I have progressives in a box from my old kat ... but never thought I'd need it.

The Doner bike i had bought , that had the parts i wanted , was modifyed as it was , Exhaust , k and n etc, it came  with Progressives , i did notice it felt Soild , and he had a few reciepts, for brake lines , Progressives , etc

The difference between stock gs and Katana F/e with progressives and 15w oil , was like a whole different bike

Fine jay dude, I am going to slap a set of progressives in one and put SS braided lines and see ...

hahaha, stoppies come after the progs go in.  Right now its wheelies I'm working on.  God this thing is fun
