The Antibody

Well, I was looking at the Brevetta 750's. I really like how it looks. But then I noticed how small they are. So I stick to my GS until I find something else.

Maybe a Honda Africa Twin would also be nice, or a Yamaha Super Tenere. Allroads are good for commuting and they are much tougher than other bikes.
They don't have a lot of power but I can't use that anyway. On my daily commute to school I have 2 choices: through the city: 10 km, 2 speed camera's. Option 2:over the ring, (100 km/h speedlimit) 23 km, 4 speedcameras.  And regularly there are extra camera's hidden at places where averyone rides fast (and it's not unsafe to ride fast there).

With an allroad I could also sneak past traffic jam areas by riding over the grass or sneak a couple of m over de pedestrian walk.  Speedbumps are easy to take, but this isn't a problem for the GS either, you can take them at high speed if you want to.
An Allroad is also better equipped to cope with the ever decreasing road quality of Dutch roads. Every year there are more potholes and more dirt on the road.

Im thinken about gettin a Harley Davidson Sportster or an SV 650 neked, probley the Harley cause I like the crusin style a little better.

Why is the Speed Triple out of your price range, but the VFR800 isn't?  Triumph recently lowered prices (again) on the Speed Triple and the VFR costs $10k new (11k with ABS).  Triumph lists the price of the Speed Triple at $8,890 and the SprintSt (sport tourer) at 10,300 - and this now comes with free hard bags (a 1000 option on the Interceptor).

I'm looking at Honda's new 599 coming out this year, but not looking to buy for a year +.  Naked bike look (my preference) with a MSRP of less that 8K...right up my alley.

Since I have a street 2000 TL1000R and a race '91 GS500, the only interest I have is getting another SV for the track. Had to sell my race LWT '02 SV.  :x  Damn that was a sweet ride! ....Unless I get another TLR for the track.  ;)

I bet the V-Max's will be cheap soon. At least I am hoping. I will always have my twin for the twisties and flipping between cars but a V-max would kick but on the hi-ways.

Now I just gotta convince my wife.

yea. theres a guy in a group i ride with has the 1200 and is crazy on it. the bad thing is, this guy ways maybe 350 pounds. not trying to be mean but when he rides it, it looks like a monkey screwing a football. but he swears up and down that its the most comfortable sport bike he's ever rode.

Well, i gusee I still have to factor in the overall cost of ownership (maintenance, parts etc) and insurance nitty gritties.  :dunno:
It is not good enough to say that we are trying our best. We must succeed in doing what is necessary.

I currently have my SV650 which I love, and really dont feel like I need anything else, but maybe someday I might want:

Liter bike:  R1 or Z1000.

Or maybe the new R6 brother with the half fairing.

But, I think for now I'll just stick with my SV, cause it's a blast.   Or I might sell it and get another one in the Dark metallic red.  Mmmmm.

Errrr....
:?

I am quite happy with my YZF600R, just bought some GIVI side cases for it (now I have to figure out a mount for them).  I've considered getting either a FZ6 or a DL650, but neither of them are really any better than the YZF, so I can't justify parting with it.

After flirting with a Guzzi Breva 750, 'Lita is going to get a new "F" model GS as soon as they come out and we can find a buyer for her '00.
hint hint  ;)

the rc8 or the duke. the duke is one of the most badass bikes i have ever seen. i read in cycle world that when you rode the duke it felt very thin short and flickable. have they gave specs on it yet. like hp torque and most importantley the price? i would love to have one of them badboys.
