NO Power! Did I fry something?

Hi there everybody, longtime listener, first time caller.

I was doing some repairs to my bike after running into a cat (which I will probably write up and post pics in on another post)
My handlebars were bent, so I got some new ones and put them on.

I had let my bike sit for about 2 months, so my battery was too low to start.
I hooked it up to a car charger I have and left it on the maintenance charge (.3 Amps) for several hours.
My lights turned on bright, and everything worked, and I tried to start my bike, but like an idiot, I left the charger hooked up while I was cranking it.
The bike turned over, but the instant it started, it died, and now there is NO power whatsoever, no lights will come on, and I'm pretty dang sure the battery is still charged.
also, the fuse on the right side of the bike is NOT blown.

I am worried and wondering if by leaving the cables hooked up when it started, there was some sort of power surge that fried something.  Are there more fuses somewhere?  What could have burned out, and what should I check next?

this is a 2005 btw
and sorry if this question has been asked before, I wasnt able to find a thread about it.

Thanks!

You probably looked at the spare fuse in the rubber boot. The real fuse is under the red plastic cover.
Common sense in not very common.
