What do the slide orifices/plugs do for the slides?  Does it change the amount that the slide rises at a given rpm/throttle posn or the speed at which it rises?

I would think it would have an effect on throttle response.

Trying to figure out if I need to put them in or not.   :dunno:

It affects how quickly the slide rises... not to the height it rises to. The slide also will flutter a lot less if one hole is blocked. However I am riding a bike now that seems to react fine with both holes open. I have installed in on a few other bikes and they all behaved better with 1 hole blocked. As for constricting the second hole... I have only one case where that was needed.... in a lot of bikes... (mostly people on this list). So my guess is... leave it stock and try it. if the bike jerks and bucks when you open throttle fast, but is fine when you open slowly... then install 1 blocker. then re try it. If it is fine when you open fast or slow... you are fine. Else install the constrictor in the other and try it.
Cool.

Thanks! :thumb:

That's what I was thinking too but it helps to have another opinion in case I am out-to-lunch.  The test method is helpful too ... I hadn't thought of that.
