I'm looking to buy some kind of riding pants as I'm moving out into the country, what suggestions do you have?  I don't want any leather pants.  I was looking at these bohn-armor pants...but they look like somethig I will not be able to wear all day-http://www.bohn-armor-pants.com/ws2/catalog/draggin2.php?prod=BGLA-Y#Order .  Thank you beforehand oh wise council of the GS.

Welcome to GSTwins!  Not trying to be a duck, but this question has been asked (and answered) numerous times.   Search "riding pants."  Acquaint yourself with the search feature and gain the knowledge of those who came before...  There is an amazing amount of collective knowledge here.

I have those 'pants' - they're ok i guess but it occurs to me they'd be better suited for soccer and football - don't know how well the padding will stay in place if/when i crash.  Tolerable in humid heat as long as you're moving ( great for layering in the winter though).

And mine don't have a fly  (did i get the girl's version?  lol)

Overpriced for what u get though.  although good quality.

I have Joe Rocket Alter Ego pants. I like them and they aren't too bad in the 100+ degree weather we had last week in LA (at freeway speeds).

I have a pair of Fieldsheer 4 seasons pants.

With the quilted liner in they are good down to Hi 30's F.

With the liner out they are good for the 100+ days we get here in Okla.

They have a mesh panel on the shin and the thigh area. the rest is solid textile.

Rode today in 25C weather, very comfy with panels out.
