Here's the gorgeous one

Ferrari 308 Quattrovalvole

I saw it as I was on my to test drive this one (met the mngr of the place at a bar and got to BSin, told me to come down and test it out)

I have two positive things to say about the lotus.  It's insanely fast and it handles great.
It was very buzzy, ridiculously uncomfortable and near impossible to get in and out of.

The guy behind the Lotus needs to learn WHERE to park.

I wouldn't mind a Lotus Esprit.  Buy me one and I'll be your best friend until the warranty expires!   :icon_mrgreen:
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

Dude, Ferrari owners are allowed to park wherever and however the f%$k they want!!

The Lotus is up for grabs for 33,900 with 15k miles.  The one thing to remember about the lotus is that it is NOT a luxury sports car like the Ferrari, it is just a hgh-performance sports car.  No cush seats, high-end sound systems and expensive leather everywhere.   The guy behind the Lotus pulled in after the test drive so it was all good.

It is amazing Yama, but what's more amazing is how that not-even 200hp car can tear the f%$king doors off a 500+hp 'vette.........maybe it's cause the whole thing doesn't even weigh 2000lbs.  I wouldn't buy a Lotus, nice car and would be awesome on the track but not on street.  Especially when you consider that a 308 would run you about the same price.

My brother owns a 1970 Lotus Elan with the Euro-spec Weber head.  Roughly 125HP from a 1600cc, but the car weighs only a tad over 1100 lbs.  Amazing performance.  The brilliant legacy of Colin Chapman was great handling from underweight cars.  No frills, just fast and light.  My kind of cars!  :thumb:

The same brother just bought a non-running Turbo Esprit a couple of weeks ago.  He's been working on it the last few days and now has it running.  He used to work part-time for a Lotus repair shop, so he knows the ins and outs of every old Lotus model (Elan, Europa, Esprit, Seven, etc.).

As I recall, the Elise weighs in a hair over 1500lbs and puts in the mid 170's on the wheel.  Like I said, the performance is just stunning, but it should not be confused as being a competitor to Ferrari and the like.  Honestly, they are a bit in a league of their own......semi-affordable race technology in a street car.

The Italian mechanic here is working on turning a totalled Exige S into a Ariel Atom like car (It was vandalised badly enough it was written off) he's already got it putting almost 300 on the wheels :o

yeah the lotus has teh toyota reliability, AND light weight, AND maneuverability and lack of creature comfort rolled into one. its a drivers car. you want comfort get a lexus/cadillac/rolls etc. BUT id still get a 308 if it were me  :icon_twisted:

Pictures of a Ferrari DO NOT do justice to the beauty and elegance of the car!!  There's a white 308 on ebay with a BIN of 28k or something like that.  I can't imagine what insurance would be for full coverage :icon_rolleyes:

yamahonkawazuki

quite high, heh i bid on that white 308 several times lol
