so basiucally a constant nagging type pain then.( been there, done that, occasionally in chest feel it too), i wonder though if theres anything else which would work for oyu. i know your docs know best. but still i wonder

imho yes/maybe. ive seen plenty who were on it for a long while be as dependable as a non running car, then again ive seen some who were somewhat functional too. tbh id see if there were any alternatives. if not PLEASE be careful with it

Dude, whatever your pain is, and I know pain can be a Buddha Loves You as I run a Pain Management class where I work, find alternative methods to deal with it.

I'm usually not one for reccomending such things, but I'd rather give advise to try alternatives, than to go on the Methadone.

Perhaps it's the stigma associated with the intended usage of Methadone, who knows...All I do know is it's a Bad MoFo....

i found myself dancing naked while watching "the hills have eyes"  umd (my psp hooked up to my HDTV in the bedroom) on my tv last night about 1/2 hour after my last methadone dose.  that is what promted  me to do this post.

I love pain killers of any kind, I have to be careful with asprin. I live with so much constant background low level pain that anything which abates it is psychologically addictive to me. Things have to be really bad now to the point of I can't see straight for me to take a pill of any kind. I broke down and let the doctor prescribe me lortab  a week and a half ago I got an infection in an insect bite on my knee that spread down into the joint. It's tough having 25 pills left in a bottle that make me feel so gooooooooooooooooood.

Frankie watch the pain meds even if there is no physiological addiction associated with a drug the psychological addiction can get to be pretty tough.

oh the doctor upped my dose today to 50mg but i am getting used to it now and other than sweating i am doing well with it.

Meth is bad news, I believe it kills more people in UK than Heroin does now. This has led to a tightening up and the prescriptions have to be taken in the pharmacy nowadays.

Opium, yeah that was a bit of a problem but it did not kill many of it's users.

Bayer, the German drug company famous for inventing Aspirin inventad a cure for Opium addiction, it was called Heroin and it certainly cured Opium addiction all right.

Meth then comes along as a cure for heroin addiction as a "replacement therapy" If it helps some people that's great but its abuse has caused problems just like that which it is supposed to cure.

Sobering thought. If you rate these things by the amount of fatalities caused then Alcohol abuse would be the worlds number one problem.
