Common sense in not very common.

Just a note, while some other bike's have rearsets that will 'bolt up' they typically put your feet in a worse position compared to stock.  In my case I got a set of CBR900 Woodcrafts that had been tweaked for a GS500... they moved my feet back which was good, but down also, and would have proven quite dangerous for spirited riding.

Another thing to consider, Woodcrafts and many other aftermarket rearsets use fixed pegs, which will technically mean your bike fails inspection in most states.  (I had a bike fail for passenger floorboards that wouldn't fold completely...)

i just went to the track again and was dragging my foot pegs like crazy, quite a nuisance, i'll be buying some wood craft ones soon.

what years are a close fit to the GS500 rearset holes

i'm a noob

Check Pablo's website. Also Honda RC51 stock rearsets work with slight mods.Must use RC linkage shift.

Pablo's site has a writeup for GSXR and CBR rearsets, but never seen anything on there about RC51 rearsets.
