Here are the next round of pics of the latest additions. I am planning on taking better pics outside this weekend.

In the works are...
The license plate mount is complete but I just sprayed a second coat of undercoating so it will need to dry prior to mounting.
The chin fairing has been primed and ready for the start of the coats of silver. Been thinking of adding a couple of Suzuki stickers to it.

Finished the flyscreen. Very pleased with how it turned out. It is a cut down 96-99 GSXR600/750 wingscreen. The paint is on the inside. Custom brackets bent to fit the contour and mounts to the headlight brackets. I will be added a similar one to my 97.

Need some work on the hugger, it has a small crack at the front right mount. I should be able to fix it with a plastic welder. I have a potential interference problem under compression with the shock reservoir and the hugger. New brackets to mount the reservoir outward 3/4" with solve it. Already have the pattern designed.

Just let me know.

This is the type of tag light I was looking for. Just ordered one.

dgyver,

Where did you find the LED tag light?  I need one.  Last year when I went to LED bulb replacements in the brake light, I rigged a white LED down to the plate, but it is no longer working.  This would be a MUCH better solution.  I already have the wiring done.

I promise I won't steal any of your other ideas (besides, I don't have the fabrication skills to execute them!).  Beautiful project.

I got the light from http://stores.ebay.com/The-Targa-Garage

List of their lights available:

Search through them and you will find different shipping rates. Ignore the applications listed. They have the resistor built into the wiring, ready to install.

The list of to do items is growing very small.

- I will need to repaint the header. It is flaking. I must not have roughed it up enough. No problem, I did not like the color anyway. Going with the Rust-Oleum BBQ black. I really liked the way it turned out on my 97.
- Still need to wire the plate light.
- I want to extend the shock to gain a little more travel clearance. I lost almost 1" with adding the hugger. The forks will need to be dropped to keep the bike's attitude the same. I have a fairly heavy spring on the Fox TC shock, 600# IIRC. There should not be a problem, especially since the bike is 1-up only.

I removed the WERA sticker from the engine cover.

Installed the chin fairing tonight.

I had to fabricate 3 brackets. Looks like a little frame paint touch-up is needed.

I had to make new rearsets since there was a clearance concern with the brake light pressure switch and the RGV swingarm. I used 1/2" aluminum instead of the 1/4" I had been using. I needed to move the switch outwards. These are much more rigid.

Coming along nicely. Not much left now.I gotta install this fresh set of carbs and balance them. Then I'll be down to ride or you can ride up.We'll have to wait and see.  :thumb:
PICS are GONE never TO return.

Sounds good. I need to get a new battery. It will not take a full charge. I had to pull the dead battery from my 97 before I sold it and put in the newer battery from my 92.

No plans to. I kinda like the two-tone look.

I do too, removing that WERA sticker and adding that chin fairing really make the bike look great. Pulled it all together.

If I can find blue stripping tape, similar to the tank color, I may add some to the chin fairing.... or maybe a Suzuki sticker... or a combo of both. Things like this just kinda evolve.

hmmm... looks like there may be some downgrading in the very near future. This weekend I am going to pick up an '01 SV650S, wrecked of course but for a song. The SV forks are straight but the GSXR forks are too sweet not to put on the SV, I had gixxer forks on my previous 02 SVS.

ahh... another project... I must be sick.

Of course you'll keep us updated. I live through your projects, until the day I can start my own.

I will have to see if I can find them or at least take new ones (especially before I mod it and remove the forks for my SV)

Looks great dgyver!  Really has me thinking about changing my exhaust to an undertail.  I just gotta find a muffler that will fit.  I don't have anywhere close to the room you have so it would have to be something low profile, think "flat".
