Ok i been workin with my Girl an shes gettin there. what i want to do now is get Clip-ons from an 89 or so and a Kat rear shock. i took my factory bars an fliped them upside down an adding some risers it feels good an it dont hit the tank any but it looks terriable . i also lowered it a bit with my own custom links made out of flat steel . it feels ok but its a lil to low with the kick stand down its almost upright an if the ground is not semi level it wont rest on the stand it will just tip over.....hence i added Frame sliders from a SV-650. the bandit 400 wheel i got from Buddah works great after a bit of shimming on the sprocket side (chain rub) i did tweak the brake arm a bit just for safety sake.
heres a few Pics... Btw i think i an going to paint the whole Bike in a matte Black finnish like the grafitti CBR 600RR.

ok stock bars will fit fliped using risers but dont have the pull back and downward angle like clubmans.

I really love the paint scheme of the '08s.. Your looks really good.. I would go SM-2 bars and have them painted/powdercoated black.

Nice looking bike!

Cheers bud.  I plan on looking into one of these cowls from the guys who had a thread on here and were discussing quite recently...look decent tho it will all depend on final finish and size etc.

That, with some further decals, and maybe a new screen and I think, I'll be quite happy til I change the rear tyre and can  :icon_mrgreen:

THEN, I may stop for breath and spend time actually riding the thing  :icon_mrgreen:

Yes, I want to see. I have 160 and bandit wheel and it's ~1/8" from the chain.

Bandit 400 or Bandit 600 wheel?

Don't forget that the Bandit 600 and late model Katana 600 wheels are 4.5" wide while the Bandit 400 wheel is only 4.0" wide.  Putting a 170/60 RoadAttack on a 4.0" wheel will squeeze it down from it's 168 mm nominal width on a preferred 4.5 rim to only 163 mm wide on a 4.0"  rim.  Close to the same as a 160/70 on a preferred 4.5" rim, only about 1/16" difference on each side depending on which brand and model 160 tire was used.  All are a little different in dimensions.
407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.

Ok so does that mean i went too big for a bandit 400 wheel? i can say it rides fine an it feels super sticky. before i had a Mich Race Pilot 150/60-17 an it was real sticky . the conti-road attack feels simular an i can still dip an dive like before. the only reason i swaped tires Out was i made a minor mistake of Lowerin the bike an then to take a BIG girl for a ride on the bike an it really ate my tire up..... lesson learned... so i ask the tire gurus did i screw up agian?
