I've bought tires online from AMT, Southwest, and Chaparral.  I think most of these links are still good:

I check AMT and Southwest first, there are many others too.

I changed my own tires for years until I was about 65 and gave it up, I carry the wheels in now to have tires changed.  Always R&R my own wheels.

A quote of $45 per wheel to mount and balance a set from a local mechanic was enough to inspire me to give it a try.  Much easier than I expected.

Thats a friggin lot of money, usually if you buy the tyres through them they throw in the mounting and balencing free or heavily subsidised. You have to work out whats cheapers, buy external and do it yourself (hard considering it takes  2 minutes in the shop) or buy and take it to be fitted - can be expensive, buy from dealer fitted for next to nothing.

;)Best price and service on my Roadriders was at SWMoto; I had mine mounted and balanced at a local independent shop for 25.00 each off the bike, well worth it IMO. It was a pain trying to break the tires off of the rim in August...

I've gotten tires from Southwest, too.  Good price.

We have one of the Harbor Freight tire changers.  It's always a tossup for when it's worth saving the money and when it's worth saving the time. ;)
