1989 GS 500 in good running condition, but it does need work.

The Bike: Good:
- The engine is in very good running condition w/ new cam tensioner, oil change, carb rebuild and starter coils
- Gas tank has had Kreem rust inhibiting coating applied
- Custom paint, debadged tank and plastics w/ rare front cowling
- Aftermarket Corbin seat
- Good registration

The Bike: Bad:
- Has cosmetic damage on both sides
- Needs fork seal replacement (have parts)
- Needs new brakes
- Currently it doesn't charge itself, but I have hooked up a trickle charger that is mounted beneath the seat. It charges in a couple hours and runs for about one hour in stop and go or highway usage making it perfect if all you're looking for is an answer to high gas prices and traffic on your daily commute. Fixing the issue is simple and inexpensive, but not something I have time to do as I am moving to LA in August.

The 2004 GS500F Engine:
- Seized Parts Engine w/ 17k on it
- Has electrical components for the 1989's charging issue
- Has upgraded, quieter cams vs. the '89
- Missing the right side cover and the valve cover, otherwise is complete

I have had this bike for about a year now. I love the GS500 series and I've moved on to a newer model, but this one is perfect for a beginner, a commuter or a tinkerer. I will include the shop manual for it and a helmet as well. I am asking $950/obo and I'm reasonable, make me a good offer and I'll take it. Delivery is negotiable.
