Optional Kickstart?

I know this is a noobie question, but some GS's came with a kickstarter? I had no idea! Are there only certain years that came with one?

I didn't know of this either, im thinking more lkely they would be on Euro models but id like to know as well the answer to ths.

Never seen on here in the uk . theres a Gs450 , 550 . 750 , and a gs1000 i think , or 1100 , maybe one of those

The gs500 never had a kickstarter, however the gs850 did when it was introduced in 1979.

Correct and the GS with the kicker is a 4 cylinder bike or a V IIRC.

yup although if one has enough money to errm inveswaste, then i spose a kicker could be fabbed. hell anything is possible with enough $$$

I've yet to hear of a GS500 with a kickstarter, although I REALLY REALLY LOVED having it on my 75 Honda 550K.

IMO, it'd be a luxury, but I can live without it just fine I think.
