Hi all,

I'm thinking about buying some clip-ons but would like to see how they feel before I do. Does anyone nearby have a GS with '89 clip-ons? I live in the SF bay area (peninsula).

I'd gladly buy you a cup of coffee if you'd put it on the center stand and let me throw a leg over so I could feel out the bars' positioning. No riding required.

Pronator - when you toss a leg over on centerstand - You will make Brummmmm brummm noises though right ?? That is mandatory. Drooling and jumping up and down and falling all over a GS you see on the road is also mandatory.

LOL..  Pronator..  I can send my housemate to work on my bike if you want to sit on it..  He works in San Mateo otherwise you can zoom over to casa de ~pink in Haywerid and sit on it in our bike filled garage..  I'll be home most of the weekend cleaning carbs..

Seriously? Because I'm actually heading over there tomorrow evening to drop off some furniture for a friend. I'd love to stop by and take the clip-ons for a test, uh, sit.

Aug. 9 I think sounds good for me/us..  I may trailer our bikes down..  Not sure my knee is up for bay area to Salinas..

Pronator, thanks for coming by..  Lovely to meet you and I'm glad you were appropriately aghast at the Yamaha couch cruiser thing resting in the middle of the rest of the Suzuki fleet...   Now when I say "I'm sorry I can't go riding there is no one home to get my bike out of the driveway and down the hill for me..."  I have a witness who has seen the driveway/hill of death that eats riders and spits them off into the gully of no return to be decomposed with pepsi cans, cars and dead bodies from the 60's!   It was totally selfishly motivated on my part!!

Hey Bob! So, next Sunday is August 10th and I could most likely make it. I need to double check just one little thing first.

I might ride my friends 07 R1, since I'm doing an oil cange on it.

My turn to apologize    - won't be able to do next Sunday (10th) after all. Double checking on that one little thing turned out to be a really good idea because I woulda had my ass kicked if I didn't show (family thing).

The 24th is my next available weekend date...

But that doesn't mean you guys shouldn't go on Sunday. It just means that we should go again two weeks after that.
