Lots of us are guilty.  I've gotten used to automated cancellation on another bike and my nubee daughter just plain forgets.  I noticed the following web site to supply a turn signal beeper.

http://www.glensvtxgarage.com/

Glen specializes in aftermarket parts for the Honda VTX, but I wonder if that is adaptable to the GS?

I got into the habit of constantly pushing the cancel on the signals... I just hit it every so often no matter what  :thumb:

I have seen a turn signal delay that only allows your signal to flash for like 9 seconds then shuts off. I'll see if I can find it again. But I do the same thing.

I always push twice or more.
My other bike (Yamaha  :icon_rolleyes:) has an automatic cancelling unit which switches of the turn signal after a few hundred meters. I have to get one of those on my GS5.

I guess that would make me "me 10th"? Push, push, push. Usually just a couple times after any turn where I use them. It's a useful tic to develop; even long time riders who don't have it can ride for miles with a turn signal flashing otherwise.   ;)
2001~ OEM Flyscreen & Chin spoiler, Fenderectomy, Sonic Springs, '05 Katana 600 Shock, Yoshimura RS-3 Carbon Fiber can, stainless midpipe, custom brake pedal, K&N Lunch box, Rejet, 14t sprocket, Diamond links, Iridium plugs, Metzeler Lasertecs, Hella horn, "CF" levers, Chuck's Fork brace. I'm broke!

I find that if I'm not letting my mind wander during a ride, as a rookie does sometimes, I make the turn signals part of my rhythm.  Usually after the first upshift out of the turn.

I like the idea of a little beeper though since distractions still make you forget.

birdman=not button happy yet

Mdow

my click cancel works about half the time never works for a left turn any more i need to replace it

I usually just leave them on, so I am prepared for the next turn.

Common sense in not very common.

Here's a couple of links from jcwhitney. These are the beepers Im still trying to find the auto cancel set up, But I would rather not use that one anyway.
