Well, I did it. I bought a 2006 Yamaha R6 50th Anniversary Edition. And I love it. It is the greatest thing I have ever seen.

As you can see, I cracked the headlight plastics an hour after getting it. It would have happened on any bike- it was a f%&ked up right turn after a stop sign, and gravity pulled me and the bike down as we were sitting there. Bummer, but the plastics are modular so the piece I need is small and cheap.

Anyway, thanks for all the help with the GS. I sold it to my buddy for his first bike, so it's in good hands.

Ugh........ an hour after getting it?  Not a good sign... be careful on it - a 4 cyl 600 can dump you on your ass realllll quick.  Good luck

or a japanese one either  :thumb:, but it seems, you could glue the crack back together, unless you WANT to replace it.

In all honesty, as much as it pissed me off when it happened, I don't care too much now. It sucks, but it's hardly noticeable and it will be cheap to fix WHEN I decide to do so. I've named her Medusa and I feel like sporting a black eye for a bit is her style  :icon_confused:

So I'm gonna glue it (suggestions on what kind of glue?) and get a new piece of plastic in the future. But for now- frame sliders. Not that they would have guaranteed that no damage was done, but they would obviously have helped.

, well regarding the black eye part, you can always tint 1 of the headlight lenses  :thumb:
