Pretty sure an '89-2000 will work for you.

I dont have carbs ... I have plenty of carb parts. What is wrong with yours. I can even do a carb body swap if you like.
Cool.

mostly, the bike is missing and the throttle either red lines or dies.  The piston slide and diaphram look like someone sprayed them with carb cleaner because they look deformed.  The slides dont move smoothly, but Im not sure if they are supposed to.  Also, their is a rubber tee that connects a vaccum line from the fuel tank to the carbs and it is torn.

Im not sure what a carb body swap is, but Im open to any suggestions.  Im sure its obvious that I am a rookie and may or may not know what Im talking about. :(

Thanks

Look at your other post. Diaphragms etc I have, just no neeldes (float or jet needles) mainly. $5 a diaphragm if needed. I ahve seen several of em with tiny tears in em, and even the ocassional one where it was stuffed in crooked by previous mechanic. So yea they can die.
You take it off and send it to me and you get detailed pics and a diagnosis as well as what else you got going on like tank rust or a cyl blowing carbon into the carb ot a bar aid filter causing them all to wear. Dont laugh, seem em all in the last 3 months. Yes 3 months.
Take it off and send it. Ask many (over 1) satisfied customer and some pretty curmudgeonly ones too ...  :icon_twisted:

Where do I send the carbs to?  Approximately haw much do you think it may cost?  And for a really silly question, how do I disconnect the throttle and choke cables.  I had the tank off and the carb almost off a couple of days ago, but I couldn't get the throttle and choke cables loose.  It is probably something simple or maybe I wasnt using the right tools.  I am new to working on motorcycles, but I am fairly mechanically inclined so, I should be able to handle it with simple instructions.  I definately trust your work.  I used this site last year when I needed to seal my fuel tank and the entire site was great!!  Not to mention that everyone says for me to message you for help.  The bike is a 94 , but only has 5000 miles so, I definately think its worth fixing.  Anyway, I will send it as soon as I hear back from you. :)

I read your other message and I will send the carbs out tomorrow morning.  All I need to know is where to send and how to get the two cables loose :)

Thank you
Wayne
