I just bought a 96 gs500. it looks pretty damn good nekid but i would like to put fairings on it to give it more of a streetbike look.  i have seen the specII fairings, i am not impressed with them, they look like they are 2 far forward or something and they dont have much of a bellypan. i like the look of the airtech but i have heard some pretty bad reviews. i have heard they r bad be missing parts and the parts you get dont always fit together properly. i googled it and those two were all i found.  all the other fairing sites i found were in a differant language. is there any way to put the gs500f fairings on an e? i saw a pic of an e with some kind of 125 streetbike fairings, it looked good. so what are my options here? If i cant find a fairing kit i like i will but duel headlights on it, what is my best bet in that area. any kits that wont drain my wallet?

Yup - go to a bike junkyard or post a request in the forsale forum for F fairings and fitments - if you get all the F brackets and such, it's pretty much a bolt-on job.

I suppose possibly also the 'bay, but be extra-careful - better to either deal locally where you can see what you are actually getting, or deal with someone here that's on regularly. Shipping fairing parts can be a problem (they need to be packed quite well to not break).

I've got most of an R6 bodywork set, except the left mid and lower fairing here if you want to go that route.  plastics with no lights or brackets.   picture a GS500 R6E  conversion. THAT would be a head turner.   PM me if ya want the plastics.
