anyone know what the little rubber 'stopper' thing is called that prevents your tank from rattling all to hell?

Mine fell off somehow on the ride... needless to say it rattles like a snake and annoys the hell out of me.... and I need to buy one.

... or better yet!  anyone have an extra one?  ;) ;)

you can cut up some rubber or vinyl hose and glue it in there to pad it as well if you have some lying around

I have some inner tube laid out and will glue it in there.

Where did you look?  I just checked and regular ground is $5.95 on bikebandit...expedited was $25

Oops didn't see you are in canada, that might have something to do with it

laserred97gt

I used 4" of new 3/8"ID hose I had left over from re-reouting my carb vent.  I slit it open, and then glued it on with weatherstrip adhesive.

Total cost = 3 minutes TOPS.

I love it when a plan comes together.

yes, I am sure that had EVERYTHING to do with it...

I'll try the hose tip and I have some weather stripping around here somewhere too, I'll jimmy something up.
I don't think there are many distributors like bikebandit.com here in Canada.

Can you get it at your local dealer? They shouldn't charge shipping.

Yah - but it costs just a bit more than the new part from bike bandit ($3.88+ 5.95 small order shipping), and probably a lot more than the new part from your local dealer without shipping. Being restricted to the lower 48, does not solve our Canadian's problem.
