I've been looking to upgrade my front brake line on my gs500 and it seems everbody wants to charge over $100 for a single line.  Does anyone know of some cheaper places where I can purchase one.  Thanks.

look harder young grasshopper. I have had this line for about 1 year and its an amazing improvement. I got mine for 20$ shipped though but its still a great deal.

i made my own turbo oil lines from SS @ a local shop that sold parts for hydrolic machines and NOS parts... it was AN-3 line with one banjo and one npt fitting that was about 3.5 feet long for $40. Im in San DIego and they are called industrial liquidators.

I wonder why they have the lines listed specifically for the GS 1995 - 1997 years. Are those special years for brake lines?  :cookoo:

I got a colored Goodridge line last year for another bike, and it was $55. Try a different dealer.

its because of the length of the line. The one I have is for a 95-97 also and is about 3 inches longer then the stock line which was perfect because I put in bar risers with my Tag bars.

So does that mean the line would work as long as you could use the extra 3 inches? Because I think I'm putting some risers on mine. Am I going to end up needing a longer line because of that?

Thanks in advance for any help.  :thumb:

I think you should go with the extra 3 inches. I myself can tell that the line is too long but the way I have it routed does not make it look out of place. No one that sees it can tell that its too long. Here are some  pictures
this is with stock line

with the extra 3 inches. Notice how I curved it up where it attaches to the master cylinder. Im not sure if you can do that with a faired GS but it looks normal to me.

I'm thinking of repainting my frame and I was thinking of black.  I see in the picture that a black frame would look real good and does it come stock like that?

Hey erbilabuc, thanks for the pics!   Any chance you could take some close-ups of your routing? It'd be most appreciated!  :thumb:
