Alright guys, I'm in bad need of some $$ and my bike has been sitting for almost two months in pieces.  I removed the engine after it dropped a valve.  I purchased all new gaskets, and a new valve through bikebandit.  The only this thing needs in order to be able to drive it is a new head.  I have worked out a deal with Ry guy to purchase a head from him or you could purchase a head from the Buddha.  Either way, it'll need a head.  Everything is there, and I can even put it all back together to make it easier to move for whomever buys it.  The wife has been nagging me about it taking up garage space, and I'm ready to see it go to a good home where it will be repaired and ridden.  Bike has just over 8,000 or 9,000 miles right now.  Stock bars, new ebay mirrors, newish Kenda Cruiser K671 tires.  Chain was installed a few months back.  Everything is in great shape except the engine.  I have a newish wally world tank bag that I'll throw in as well.  Everything on the bike is stock, completely.  Everything works fine....except the engine.  There are some small dings and scratches here and there.  Two dents in the tank, right side, from where the po laid it down.  Not perfect, but it still looks nice.  Pics were taken before new chain, mirrors, and before engine was removed.

The Buddha

Your head from ry_guy prolly aint comming. I'll send him refund shortly. The crackheads at the engine shop ... did a gorgeous job on the valves ... and lost the c and d towers. Morons.
They also lost  a bucket but that isn't too bad, I got buckets without a head to toss em in. So I'll fit a nice one that fits just right.
Cool.

Ah hell, if it doesn't sell on here, I'm not listing it on ebay.  It'll just sit in my garage until I have the $$ and time to put into it.  I just hate seeing it sit in pieces.  It's sad.

Yeah, kyle, my mother in law was visiting when those were taken.  Thanks for the bump.  Maybe it'll be back together by the spring.  It just sucks so bad because it's such a simple thing to fix!

Buddha, how in the hell did they lose the towers.  Did they just fall off, or did they break them??

Have you tried craigslist yet? The problem is simply that it's just not that close for many of us, no matter how good a deal it may be.

Unlike ebay, craigslist is free.

Unlike ebay and here, craigslist is inherently local - though sometimes it's not local enough (ie, if you're on one side of an area and something is on the other side of the area, it may not be worth going to get it). While you may still get some stupid nigerian scam offers, real deals are face-to-face, cash on the barrelhead, local and you help (or don't help) load it in the truck.

Otherwise, just hang on and put it together later. Later may be a long time, of course - just ask my Yamaha.
