I need a set of forks, I think mine are bent. I'm not really picky about the year, only that they're straight, not-pitted, and not rusty. Cheap is good too

i sent him a PM... I took a look at it today, and while the right fork is just fine, the left is bent. I have the bend going in a direction that makes the forks not bind now  but all I really need is an upper tube...

Naa ... just use it as is, and pass it off on some clown. Just dont meet him at your house, always a neutral location, like a McDonalds parking lot in another part of town. Preferably his part of town.
I dunno, I can look for an upper tube ... or not, I am lazy and looks like you wont pay much  ... Besides you have to do fork seals etc.

yeah, i'm kinda cheap 

seals don't bother me, i've got new ones in there now. If you/someone found an upper tube for me, that would be fantastic. Although, if it doesn't bind, i may just leave it. I don't like the idea of leaving something broke, but if it doesn't affect rideability...
