It's getting dark and I have a real problem on my hands. I was instlaling my flushmounts, and the first one was working fine. After I installed the second one, the bike went wacco. I hit the left turn signal and it just lights up doesn't blink and the integrated at the back blinks both right and left. Then when I hit the right blinker the flushmount stays lightly glowed and the back integrated blinks both left and right?

What could be my problem? I have double checked all the wiring I did....

Please help ASAP, the sun is going down and I don't have a garage!

are they L.E.D. type bulbs? I know that when i went to LED's on my gixxer it needed an inline resistor bucuase they have a fraction of the resistance of incandesent bulbs.

short term get u home fix = swap the old stuff back in?

Skeets

Yes they are LED. The right side works but the left SIDE SUCKS!!!  I might need more resistors I think, I'm using one and that's all I have.

Skeets

SO I found out that I need more resistance. I hope to have it fixed by tommorow.

So I got more resistance and I hook it all up and I hear a POP. The electronic flasher died....It won't even try to flash anymore. If anyone has any please pm me. It's a 2007 gs500f. GUILERA Electronic Flasher 12v 21+21+3,4W

I would contact the manufacturer and ask them for the specific load you need to add in resistors. I beleive they're measured in ohms.

Skeets

Yeah my bike is pretty much useless. The turn signals have totally stopped working. I tried an automotive flasher and it didn't work. I don't know what to do. I ordered a OEM Flasher and replaced the fuse. I have a bad feeling that my whole electrical system is gone.

Skeets,
buy the clear alternative load flasher (they will send you one for a gsxr) just cut of the connector and put on 2 blade connectors plug into flasher harness and you're done, no resistors needed and you can do all led signals on your bike since it is a flasher made for leds

Skeets

I have bought one. I ordered it yesterday. I'm saying that my turn signals don't even work anymore. I put back on the stocks and they won't work. I changed the fuse, checked all connections, and nothing. My bike is in about 400 pieces.

I made a DIY of how not to put on flush mounts LOL

merisey

well... hopefully the flasher is the only thing that sharted on you and the new one does the trick..... look at it this way though. If it does turn out to fix it you can take out all the resistors you put in  :thumb:

My dad thinks that the OMRON thing next door to it has gone too...Do you know what that does?

merisey

not a clue man, the only way i knew which was the flasher is because it was obviously marked

Skeets

Well it has been a learning experiance. I pray to Buddha (haha) that it's just that electronic flasher.

If you ever can't identify a part the best thing to do is post a picture up.  Makes it much easier for everyone here to see exactly what you're talking about - and you'll probably get an answer faster, too.  :thumb:
