Mechanical Damage to Signal Generator

Ok, posted a little about this earlier.   Basically the PO repaired crash/rash to the right hand engine case cover w/ JB weld.   The JB weld broke loose and flew around in my signal generator area.   At some point it hit the signal generator rotor and sheared off the indexing/driving pin on the end of the crankshaft.    Bad enough but it also appears to have cracked/damaged the pickup?  Check the lefthand pickup black plastic area, as well as where the lower wire comes in and is soldered there.

My bike has had a problem w/ dropping the left cylinder at idle.   When revs increase the left cylinder will fire and the bike runs normally.   Could this damage be a factor in this (is that pickup for the left hand no. 1 cylinder)?

The signal generator rotor can be tightened with the allen screw and stays put, but I am concerned about vibration making it work loose over time.   I guess I need to try to press in a new pin on the end of the crank, maybe add some loc-tite.

Anyhoo here is a pic which shows the damage....notice the scuffing and scraping of the signal generator rotor also:

Gaaaaa ... so you lose a cyl and wonder if this is why ... OK try matching with color codes on wires ...
If not ... I have one, but it will be $50 ... it is a consumable literally. Breaks often and everyone needs one to run.  Like the dash back cover ... but this can blow by itself. Not just by hitting stuff.
Cool.

OK fine. Paypal me, I'll have this along wiht the jets out to you by saturday. say you add $5 shipping, it aint going too far, so the jets and this go together.
Shouldn't you make sure it runs before you buy jets for it, sorta like painting a bike that has a rod bearing knock in it, or like this genius I know that did this, for his katana 600, he bought a lowering kit when his transmission didn't have 2nd or third gear ...

slap some loctite on there if you are worried about it slipping. Use red loctite if you are VERY worried.
