unfortunately no. I can only have one motorcycle. I have to sell the gs to help pay for the speed 4. I WILL likely be removing many of the aftermarket parts and selling them here separately (s-m bars, hugger, etc). PLEASE do not call dibs on anything until I sell items. Once I confirm (ie get permission :dunno: ) buying new bike I'll post what I have to sell, including the Yosh exhaust.

Cool man, did you ever get a test drive?  I'd like to hear how that goes :)
Andy

pantablo

called dealer andtehy wont let you test ride them...same BS as always-buy bike and if you dont like it they'l refund it. meaning you drop/crash it its yours.

Next best deal I found from local dealer is $6500 OTD (thats everything, tax included, literally out the door price). Still not too bad but with 04's coming soon...

I hope you get the bike and enjoy it...not my taste...to me it looks like the pimp-mobile of motorcycles.  But that's just me.  You go, buddy.

Nice.  I was at the local Triumph/BMW/Kawasaki/Suzuki dealership and they didn't have any around.  They did have one of these that was kind of calling my name:

With everyone waiting for the ZX-10R, I might be able to pick it up for a good price.  Another dealer has the '02 Gold version still on their showroom floor.

Come on, Santa, I was a (pretty) good boy this year.

cozy

Mr. Pantablo that thing looks awesome, your post inspired me to poke around on triumph's site and when i 'm ready to move up or graduate Drexel (whichever comes first) the speed four is on top of the list.

This morning I realized that was you on the TT600 forum that posted the other day.
When considering a Triumph as your sole motorcycle, you may want to check out the reputation of the dealerships that service Triumph.  Many don't seem to have a good report card.  There are a few threads over at the TT600 forum regarding this.
Sometimes parts take a while to get also.
You may want to see if there are any other mc service-only shops in your area that can work on Triumphs.
I was able to keep my GS500 as my "backup" bike.  Sometimes it still is my primary bike.  My TT had been out of commission for maybe a month with a fuel leak that I fixed myself.  I had my TT in a dealer shop once with no problems.  I recommended them to someone else that had a broken transmission gear on a Trophy, and unfortunately they screwed up a couple things on his bike.

Thanks Pam, that was me. I saw your name there too but didn't make the connection. That's a pretty good foruym but not nearly as much traffic (it seems) as this one.

C.J. and his wife Debi, both members here and local to me have bought Triumphs (he an RS, she a new Datona 600!) and they both recommend their two dealers...plus I have one of the best (IMO) independent shops in L.A. within a block of my work and only a mile or two from home.

I'm not so concerned about the dealers. I AM concerned about the snatchiness many people mentioned on the tt600 board. How's your TT about throttle at low speeds?

I can't believe that Kawasaki hasn't used that green on one of their nekkids?

Our local Triumph dealer hosted the National Triumph test fleet in October, and gave chaperoned group test rides.  My time and impending weather limited me to one ride, and I selected the Goodwood Green/Aztec Gold T100 (sweet!).  A S4 would have been my third choice behind the last of the TBird Sports.  The S4 pilots all had huge grins on their faces after removing their helmets upon return to the dealer.   I overheard one of the riders, an S3 owner, who exclaimed "You'll LOVE it--  that Buddha Loves You HOWWWLS!"  High praise indeed.  :thumb:

Promise you won't forget about us after you upgrade?

Quote from: pantabloI AM concerned about the snatchiness many people mentioned on the tt600 board. How's your TT about throttle at low speeds?

My TT is an (early) 2001 model, and still had some low RPM issues (surging & such) when I got it (used).  I had another tune loaded in July & it has behaved much better since then.
Anotehr thing I have noticed is that the clutch pull is much more difficult than on the GS.  I even replaced the standard clutch lever with the dog-leg clutch lever and there is not much difference.

Supposedly the EFI issues have been sorted out on the 2002 & later models.

There is less traffic on the TT600 forum because there are many fewer TT's on the road I would think, only been made 4 years compared to 13+ for the GS500.

Although I have no local Triumph dealers in my area (closest are in Dayton, Lexington, or Columbus) if I ever get another street bike, I'm pretty sure it would be a Sprint RS or Speed Triple.
