Oh now the chineese are complaining that babies have gotten sick and 3 have died from melamine in baby food. Sad as it is ... lets check this out.

They have been selling us and the rest of the world melamine laced fruit juice. Usually to cover up their atrificial sweetener problem ... which they add to juice after they dilute it.
I am sorry now we should be worried someone sold them melamine laced food ... maybe they just added it to their own crap.

oh man it is all about the all mighty dollar.  we have been buying cheap shaZam!, thank u wal mart, from china for years.  so should we be surprised when it comes back to bite us in the ass?  china also holds much of the US debt.   china is the quiet super power that has the ability to destroy the US.  both militarily and financially.  we may have the technology but they have the boots on the ground plus the only technology that matters in a pinch....the big BOOM!  financially the US could just say piss on you like we did with the gold standard but it would ruin us with most other countries as far as finances go.   our super power status is just like the housing market was...big, over rated and ready to bust.

I have a feeling this whole melamine in baby food BS is gonna come back to point at china. Why I think they put melamine in ascorbic acid, and china is the only manufacturer of it almost. If they used their own acsorbic acid, that brings melamine with it. Only thing is, how did it go this long, they been sending us melamine laced food for over a decade.

people at work consider buying 'direct from china' for tooling lately. i'm like "what the f%$k do you need, a cheap hammer to the noggin to understand how this doesn't help ANYTHING ?"

kinda like people running out and getting that last tank of gas @ $3.xx when IKE hit. Du huh, they re-inforced the price gouging.

But since we're talking about babies and formula, i'm sick of women 'trying' to breastfeed for 1 day, giving up and feeding their kids the CHEAPEST POSSIBLE CRAP from walmart and then being surprised when it has contamination.

joking aside he is right, not only is it more nutritious it also passes on bacteria and other digestive products that are crucial to survival.  the other "breast milk" replacements just do not cut it.

Seems like the Chineese have lots of population so a few dead infants is no big deal in the grand scheme of things. Sad for the parents to be sure, but damn they have so many people they have been limiting offspring for years.

This is sorta the prevailing attitude in India too, but see, the richer people (typically those that use formula have to be a bit wealthier) will raise a hue and cry.
The poor dont have a voice. They just greive silently. BTW china is about to learn the consequences of poor quality control and product liability. That is the reason the western world has expensive products.

it is one of the reasons why western products cost more.  i would think that the poor did not have the money for the formula and thus used what nature gave them.  of course it is well known that natural is the best.  why some choose, in this day, to go against nature is a mystery to me.

the reason so many go against nature, is very simple.  they think that this artificial garbage is superior to nature, or safer in some way. yeah, right, and cocaine isnt deadly.   

I honestly hate chinese crap. their quality control is pathetic, but its what you get when you pay slaves slave wages in crappy factories.   slave labor, you get what you dont pay well enough for.   I hope their commie dictatorship falls and their nation goes bankrupt in the next few months.  seriously.

The thing with the chinese is, if we went to war with them, unless we nuked like 99% of the nation first, they would only need to march about 1/4 of their population over here, and we would be pretty much done for and speaking chinese within 6 months.    I just PRAY TO GOD no leader dares piss them off enough to start a war, it'd be suicide.

IMO, China is thinning thier own population out.  Theyve been limiting reproduction for years.  Like, WTF, You cant have a kid because we say so.  Damn.  Im glad Im not Chinese. 
On the whole China taking over the USA....I dont know.  I dont keep up with what theyve got as far as military assets.  But Im sure they have to cross the ocean, and/or fly over to put those boots on the ground.  Good luck.  Im thinking our navy and Air force may be able to handle thier air and sea transport efforts. I dont know if thyeve got the landing craft to put enough boots on the ground at once to matter.  Ive heard that their army is ill equiped as well.  They got so many soldiers but not enough rifles or some shaZam! like that.  Liek the ones in the back would just pick up the rifles off the fallen troops in the front as the walk over them during the advance.

Until they sign up to Koyoto I havent the time of day for them, heavy industry, particularly power generation in this country is being crippled and paying millions of £££ to reduce greenhouse gas emission...yet the Chinese pump out more sh** every 6 months than the UK does in 20 years and its constantly rising. If you want to be treated with respect by the rest of the world, get on the same pitch and play by the same rules as the rest of the world.

Besides the fact that giant Red Menacing army would have a hell of a time getting to the US, we have lots of allies (like GB) that would not let us get invaded, and on top of that that invading army would be trying to ake over a country full of people with guns. I mean when a lot of citizens take a 9mm to the mall and you can buy guns at any Wal-Mart in the country, how effective would any invasion of the US be? I know for the most part Americans have turned into a bunch of whiney, politically correct pussies, but few would stand for being overrun my commies.
