I just completed the F to E conversion and no longer need the fairings.  I will post pictures tomorrow, the right side has some very light scuff marks where the PO laid it down I think.  Everything is there except for the stock headlight.  Some of the plastic plug/bolt things broke when I took the fairing off so you will need those.  The fairings are black and silver off an 06. 
Make me an offer, possibly trade for integrated tail or something else if you have something cool laying around.

How is a 4 inch rear wheel complete with all the spacers etc you need to toss in the GS's back side. And say a GSXR shock and

Buddha, first thanks for all of your knowledge and input here, I have learned a lot from reading stuff you have written here, but at the risk of insulting the buddha, it is very hard for me to understand you sometimes, I think you are probably very sarcastic but that is hard to convey on a message board smileys only go so far...

You can add more stuff, jet pack, thick fork brace etc ...

I'm looking for the headlight assembly from an F model to put on my E...  If you'd sell that separately I'd buy... of course, Buddha get's first dibs.

Heres some pictures, I have all of the mounting hardware, except for the plastic plugs, and the brackets that I cant take off because they are holding lines onto my frame.

No other "damage" that I could find.  The marks that are on it could probably be fixed with a new sticker and maybe a little touch up paint if you really wanted to.

Youve got a deal if the pics looks good to you.  Is the gsxr shock a direct replacement?  for the jet kit my bike is an 06 and I have a lunchbox and gsxr-yoshi that are waiting to be installed.

I have the stock mirrors as well, I forgot to take pictures of them earlier, no damage.

I know that these items are gone already, but I am curious, can something be done to put fairings from a newer model GS onto a pre 00 GS.  I guess it would be an E to a F conversion.  Its getting cold and it would be nice to get the wind off of my body.

I have done one, and the next one I do will be a 100 times easier, cos I now have a 04 to measure and triangulate stuff with ... however figure atleast $5-700 on top of fairing $$$, brackets alone cost ~100+, the inserts and welding and what not were $250 but its gonna be more if I do now, welder has gotten much busier and $$$ due to inflation, and the tail section bracket carriers I made were 100% hand made, I made a few when I did it and sold a couple ... but figure atleast 50-100 ... I'd skip the tail section if I were you ... but 04 fairing on 89-00 body looks a bit funny.
BTW that bike was owned by tarzanboy a few months before he sold it off list. Ask him how it worked, especially compared to the 05 he just built ...

Yeah, sounds like I will just have to get warmer clothes. I really didn't figure it would be cost efficient, but I thought I'd ask because I have seen a few fairing sets here and there.
