Can someone provide a link to the front wheel bearing replacement how-to?

I did a search here, the faq section, the wiki, and even a quick yahoo search and I cant find it.  I could have sworn I saw on here somewhere.

I think my front bearings need replacing and the service manual talks about all these special tools not available in the US and special grease.  It seems like it should be simpler than how the manual describes it.

Thanks.

I'm going to watch this thread, since I haven't replaced any of my wheel bearings yet. Can't imagine it requiring more than a nice soft brass drift, a hammer, and a couple blocks of wood.

Unless it's got some new fangled dealio that has to be replaced instead of a simple bore ;)

Try hard as a rock drift punch, heavy ass hammer and ear plugs for the whole neighborhood.
I use stainless rod cut to an angle ... knocking the spacer sleeve out of the way and catching the edge of the race in 1 smooth sideways blow ...
Cool.

basically once you take that front wheel off you should be able to jsut pop them out. at least thats what it was on my 06 get the new ones grease them and put it all back togather the whole process takes maybe an hour

I'll have to give it a more careful look, but based on the service manual, it requires some effort to get them out and they shouldnt just "pop right out".

I'll investigate the options presented already though and see what I can come up with.

One side of mine just fell out when I took my front wheel off but maybe its a defect on mine.

Not pop out ... have to be in hard and seated ... BTW someone else also had this happen, solutio nis to get a new wheel, or knurl that seating area ... though I'd just get a new wheel.
